Desert Tunes
They sat quietly under the tree, the beast and its master, enjoying the shade provided to them in an otherwise unforgiving and hot local. The man dressed in white would watch the world around him with golden color eyes as the wind played with his white hair pinned up high into a messy bun. As the feathers on his collar swayed in the wind, the quiet young man would listen to the whispers of the wind his cat like ears twitching at the sounds. He would stay quiet like this for a long time, his hand resting on the strange lute he carried as his bag rested at his side.
In time, the beast within him would grumble and become restless of sitting, snapping the young man out of his daze as he did the one thing he knew could calm the creature. He would begin to play his lute, sending out into the golden landscape a soft soothing tune to any that heard....if there was anyone out in such a place as this that is.

Re: Desert Tunes
Damned people and their damned requests. This was just not a pleasant activity to be partaking in, no matter what angle one looked at it from. Who wants to loiter around in a place that could turn them into a grilled chicken dinner anyway? And no, the fact that he was nowhere near being a chicken did not change the situation any. For he was sure there were some freaks that'd get excited about a wolf dinner too. Either way, getting sunburnt was a pain, and there was just no way around that.
And theeeen, someone just had to rain on his parade further. He couldn't focus on listening to things if someone went and started playing music. Too much of a distraction, especially when you were trying to listen for specific stuff. The gray-haired wolf man would jump through a few trees, eventually landing onto the one above the noisy person. "Hey, what's the noise for?"

Re: Desert Tunes
He would stop playing the tune the moment, his sensitive ears picked up the sound of something moving about in the small patch of trees that surrounded him. When the sound ceased above him and a voice rang out, the white haired young man would look up at the other.
As he did so his image would flicker briefly like a mirage revealing for a short window of time a man that also had horns and wings, but then in a blink the strange image was gone as golden eyes narrowed at the other.
"It is called a song. Not noise," he would begin in quiet tones as his hands rested against the strange black lute. "Who are you?" Would be the next question to follow out of his mouth as he observed the strange man who rested in the tree.
